Training on Fish Floss Product Development in Laba Jaya Village, North Wakorumba District, North Buton Regency
Abstract
This community service activity aims to enhance the skills of the residents of Laba Jaya Village, North Wakorumba District, North Buton Regency, in producing fish floss products. The village has abundant fishery resources, yet their management remains suboptimal. Through this training, the community is provided with knowledge and practical skills, from selecting fresh fish as raw material and processing it into fish floss to appropriate packaging and marketing techniques. The methods used include socialization, hands-on training, and mentoring in fish floss processing. The results of this activity indicate an improvement in the community's ability to process fish into value-added products, which have the potential to strengthen the local economy. The fish floss products are expected to be competitive in local markets and provide long-term benefits to the local community.
