Abstract

Kepatihan Village is one of the villages in Wonogiri Regency in Central Java Province. Kepatihan Village has several areas of empty land that have not been utilized. On the other hand, family medicinal plants (toga) grow easily in the area. However, the people of Kepatihan Village do not yet understand about toga and have not practiced toga cultivation properly. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to provide education about toga and convey how to cultivate toga properly. The target group of this community service is the dasa wisma (dawis) in Kepatihan Village. In this service, the activity began with socialization regarding the potential of toga to all dawis in Kepatihan Village. Furthermore, the practical activities and demonstrations of toga cultivation were focused on 4 areas of empty land managed by a joint dawis group. Ginger, turmeric, temulawak, lemongrass, and aloe vera commodities were planted in the four areas. The community service team implemented an innovation in the form of drip irrigation to facilitate toga care. The dawis looked enthusiastic in participating in a series of activities from the community service team. The results of this service have begun to be seen with the growth of toga to date. The future is that the harvest of toga cultivation can be processed into processed products in the form of herbal drinks that can be marketed to become a source of income for the Dawis group.
