Dasa Wisma Group Spice Powder Making Training in Wawohine Village.
Abstract
The aim of this training is to increase the knowledge and skills of the community, especially women from the Dasa Wisma group in Wawohine Village, Kec. Amonggedo, Kab. Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, in processing local spices into value-added products. The steps for making spice powder include cleaning, drying, cutting, ovening, grinding and filtering. This program is implemented through socialization, counseling and mentoring with a participatory approach, where the Dasa Wisma group actively participates from the beginning to the end of the activity. This program consists of four main stages: preparation, preparation of materials, training and mentoring, and finalization. The results of this training showed high participation and enthusiasm from the participants. They succeeded in mastering the techniques taught and understanding the benefits of using spice powder, such as increasing the selling value of products and extending the shelf life of food ingredients. Apart from that, this training also opens up opportunities for small business development and supports local economic sustainability. This training succeeded in strengthening local capacity in spice processing and promoting the use of sustainable local raw materials. The success of this training shows the importance of practical and collaborative education in supporting economic and social development at the community level.
