Training on the Use of Standing Pouch Packaging for Papaya Chips and Spice Powder Products
Abstract
Training on the use of standing pouch packaging for papaya chips and spice powder products in Wawohine Village, Amonggedo District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, aims to increase community knowledge and skills in packaging food products. This training adopts a participatory approach, actively involving housewives in the entire process, from selecting raw materials, processing, to product marketing. The methods used include socialization, counseling and mentoring. The results of the questionnaire showed that before the training, 85% of participants did not know about standing pouch packaging. However, after training, 99% of participants succeeded in understanding the benefits of the packaging. This training not only provides insight into effective packaging techniques, but also marketing strategies, so that products can compete in a wider market. Program evaluation shows that the participatory approach and mentoring carried out by Sintesa's KKN Building Villages-MBKM partner students succeeded in increasing participants' involvement and skills, as well as opening up new economic opportunities for village communities.
